Is it Time to Let Go?

How many unhealthy relationships will we experience before we wise up, realizing we are only hurting ourselves by staying in them? It is experienced multiple times through friends, family and even myself years ago with crippled insecurity. We endure unhealthy relationships that practically drags us through the mud so to speak just so we can keep up the image of a happy union. While some of us may find the courage to leave for good as I did, others return for a second or third helping. They are bedazzled with promises of a new beginning only to end up with more heart ache and pain. Relationships are never easy and I'm not saying by no means that we should jump ship at the first sign of trouble waters. But what if the boat is sinking. Should we stay on board and drown? If you and your significant other have tried unsuccessfully to work things out, going as far as getting outside help and things haven't change... or change for the moment only to return to its unbearable present state. Then it may be time to let go. Life is too short to constantly be burden down with bitterness and strife. Letting go may be the best thing you both can do for each other. Of course it won't be easy, frankly it may be one of the hardest thing you'd ever had to do. But when all is said and done, you both will be a more healthier and happier person with piece of mind and a better outlook on life. And that in itself will be well worth it.
