New Year Resolutions

The time has arrived! 2014 will soon be a passing memory and we will embark upon a New Year 2015. And with it comes resolutions and you know the most popular ones. Losing weight being at the top of the list. Most of us vow to lose the love handles that seemed to have settled around our waist with no plans of ever leaving. Also must of us are determined to get our finances in order by saving money or making more of it is one I desire the most. Others may proclaim to mend broken relationships or get out of bad ones. Some may declare just to be a better person in the New Year. No matter what the intentions are, New Year Resolutions are made but are seldom kept. According to surveys only about 8 percent of us successfully achieve their New Year's resolutions to 92 percent that do not. So why do we bother to make them at all? Well my theory is the new year offer new hope, new possibilities and above all a fresh new start. Do you remember as a child learning to ride your first bike? You get on, bracing yourself for the fall you hope didn't come. But when it did your mom or dad told you to get back on and try it again. Even though your fall may have been painful you were determined to give it yet another try.  And you kept trying and trying until finally you began to ride. How proud you were to have accomplished the feat. So go ahead and make those resolutions and you just might ride off into the sunset.

The Greatest Gift

The greatest gift doesn't come in a fancy box with a pretty bow. Nor does it have an extravagant price tag to dazzle before the eyes of it recipient. The greatest gift can't be tasted like the finest of wines or worn like a beautiful creation tailored by a famous designer. The greatest gift can't be substituted like splenda for sugar or margarine for butter as simple as those may be.The greatest gift is so precious it can't be returned or replaced. The greatest gift that we can give is...The Gift of Time. Time to spend with those we love. Time to cherish the memories that gathering together brings no matter what season we are in. Lets Make the Gift of Time a gift on our list this year.  Merry Christmas!
